The brief
Set the scene in two or three sentences. Who came to you, what stage the business was at, and what was getting in their way. Keep it concrete — the reader is deciding whether their own problem sounds like this one.
The thinking
This is the part other portfolios skip. Explain the insight that unlocked the work: the audience you found, the position nobody else was holding, the story the founder had been telling without realising it. Show that the design came from somewhere.
The work
Walk through what was made — identity, type, colour, packaging, guidelines — and why each decision follows from the thinking above. Two or three short paragraphs is plenty.
The result
Close with what changed. A number is ideal — sales, listings, enquiries, funding — but a clear qualitative outcome works too. If you have a client quote, this is where it earns its place.
